Episode 31: ¡Viva Fiesta At The Alamo!

Every April,  San Antonio celebrates Fiesta, a 10-day citywide “party with a purpose” that benefits charities, both large and small. Fiesta draws in 2.5 million visitors a year with more than 100 events like downtown parades, Mexican-style rodeo demonstrations, and neighborhood street fairs.

Today we reveal how this massive celebration has its humble roots at the Alamo, how parades that pass by the Alamo honor its history, and how one parade in particular will invest in the Alamo’s future for generations to come. Featuring the Alamo's Collections Manager Misty Lanham, the Alamo's Development Manager and former Battle Of Flowers Association President Anna-Laura Block, Fiesta Flambeau Association President James Fenimore, Former King Antonio and Fiesta Commission President Jack Hebdon, and Texas Cavaliers River Parade Vice Marshal Tres Steves.
